About Bristol
Bristol is one of the largest cities in the South West of England. It is packed history, culture and fantastic countryside which are part of the reason why an estimated half a million people reside here.
Bristol’s history has strong links with the sea, with the harbor famous for its trade it slavery and tobacco. This lead to Bristol being involved in piracy, it is suggested that one of the most well known pirates, Blackbeard, originated from the area. Today in Bristol you properly will not find many pirates, but a modern development that has a wealth of shops, bars and restaurants.
A modern day Bristol is also well know being a Fairtrade city as well at the UK’s first cycling city, in which Bristol earned the title of Green Capital.
